It is amazing to know that our brains consist of 73% water. And so, our body needs water to function completely! Do you even know that dehydration can cause and add to stress? I know that no one in this world would love the feeling of being stressed. This is a friendly reminder, do not ever forget to hydrate yourself on a regular basis! Water is not just an essential nutrient to life and to our body but it literally has the power to reduce stress hormones. Water also helps to aid the body by flushing out toxins which is best for our skin. Let's be kind to our body and give what they need.

Self-Care Tip #2: Rejuvenate your body and mind

There’s nothing more relaxing than taking a hot bath while playing the songs of your favorite band after a very long stressful working day. There is something so comforting about slowing down for a moment and giving yourself a time to relax and pamper. 

 

If you’ll try to add bathing to your routine, I will suggest you to do Epsom Salt baths. This Epsom Salt I am talking about helps relax muscles, aid headaches and migraines. It also helps in reducing inflammation in our body. So, now I must say that whenever you feel anxious and stressed, find something to do to make you feel relaxed like lighting a candle and have a glass of wine, read a book, or watch your favorite TV show!

For some, it's always been about their perspective and mindset first. Start to plan the things you need to do for a day, practice waking up early in the morning, stay proactive and productive at the same time, and stick to your working routine. This pandemic made our home become our office, gym, and studio at the same time all in one! This season also taught us to manage our time properly and wisely. You can watch tutorials on YouTube and do some exercises and meditation. Relax yourself by reading some books from your shelves. Take online classes for additional knowledge. Work on yourself both personally and professionally because we can all benefit from using this free time productively.

Self-Care Tip #4: Put yourself first

 

In the morning, when you wake up, look at yourself in the mirror and say, “I’ve got this today!” Always claim that today is yours. Step out and conquer the day. You were made to do wonderful things! As soon as you wake up, tell yourself the truth and good things about you, you are beautiful, smart, and so much more! If your heart and soul is full, and you love yourself more, then that’s the time you will be capable of loving and taking care of others too. Look at the brighter side of life, always. Get the habit of seeing the good things in life, in everything you do, and in the people around you. Always believe in yourself!

 

Self-Care Tip #5: Try something new

 

It is so important to utilize this time and accomplish the things you have always wanted to do. Be creative! If you are bored enough, try something new. Some have been taking up baking, planting, painting, writing novels, and so much more. Amazing, right? I know sometimes it is difficult for us to get motivated, but it will all be worth it in the end. It is also the time to be connected to your family, long time friends, and college classmates. Let's not waste every single day!
